The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking to grow their experience and knowledge in a more technical background. In this position you will support the Endoscopy Department with scope cleaning, patient care duties such as transport for discharge, as well as stocking and distributing supplies. You will have the opportunity to be trained on site. This department consists of 8 staff members, and you will see patient volumes ranging from 5-20 per day.
This is a non-benefited part time position (32 hours per pay period every 2 weeks) and will be working variable 8 hour day shifts. The department hours range between 6:30am 7pm. Located at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
Multiple patient care skills preferred
Prefer one-year experience in health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities.
