With support for 3D navigation, media streaming and parking assistance, as well as voice, facial and device recognition, our customers are redefining the connected smart auto landscape This position is for Qualcomm Automotive Application Engineering Group, which closely collaborate with its automotive partners and customers from concept to commercialization. Team involves with all aspects of Embedded software such as SW & HW designs, Feature Prototyping, Feature Integration, SW customization, Performance Optimization & Improvement and other debugging efforts which is key for successful launch of the product. We are looking for strong Software Engineer with good knowledge and hands-on experience in Device Driver Design, Development and Debugging for Linux, Android and QNX embedded systems. Major responsibility is to provide direct support to Qualcomm customers and partners in the area of Camera Technology which is widely used in Automotive platform for various usecases. Candidate should also be able to develop and debug Qualcomm reference camera S/W design and H/W interface related issues and help to customize software.Candidate must quickly assimilate onto an existing project, understand Automotive platform H/W and S/W driver architecture, read/write technical specifications/requirements, demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and work closely with external customers to customize and launch their new products.   • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years experience in Multimedia(Graphics/Display/Gstreamer) software development engineering for Linux based embedded systems.
  • 2+ years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • 2+ years experience with debugging techniques on embedded systems.
  • 2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • At least 2+ years of embedded software experience in cameras and imaging.
  • Familiar with MIPI CSI, I2C, GPIOs Know how to read schematic and use oscilloscope and the Knowledge of 3A algorithms, tuning, ISP, Sensor, HDR is an added advantage.
  • Linux V4L2 framework experience and knowledge
  • Experience in development of Camera application or stack on Qualcomm hardware is a major advantage.
  • Experience in using Debugging tools such as JTAG, Trace32 and oscilloscope/Logical Analyzer.
