We are looking for a summer intern to assist our Human Resources department. This is an opportunity to learn HR best practices from our progressive, new HR Director. As our human resources intern, you will help us become more efficient by documenting standard HR operating procedures, become familiar with employee paperwork by scanning documents as part of our electronic file conversion project, and you?ll assist with our organization?s structure. You will hone your business communication skills by interacting with coworkers and candidates. Qualifications + Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology or other related study + Computer literate with intermediate skills using Microsoft Office products + Strong skills with Excel preferred + Responsible + Organized + Detail Oriented + Professional Clerical experience preferred + Entering Junior or Senior year Safety + Follow safe work practices, participate in safety training as required, and report any unsafe condition or accident. Quality + Employees are responsible to understand and support the quality policy and the appropriate elements of the quality management system for their areas of work, reduce, eliminate, and prevent quality deficiencies including escapes. + Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities related to product, process, and quality system. + All employees have the responsibility and authority to identify quality deficiencies, elevate any concerns for action within or related to our quality system and processes. Communication + Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. + Maintain effective and constructive working relationships with others both internally and externally.
